As a mirror for Runic Games Fansite here are the two mods made by Runic Games developer, Tiamat:

Bee Swarm

NOTE: This is the same spell as the XBox 360 Community Unlock "ilovebees" spell. This mod does NOT automatically place this spell in your inventory. You will have to find it like any other spell in the game.

README:

Feel the power of the swarm!

Enables the Bee Swarm spell to drop in game (rarely). Teach it to your pet for extra fun! Bees are most effective against large groups, sowing panic and terror en masse.

Points in Offensive Spell Mastery makes their bee stings more painful, and the bees will stay mad longer (10s-20s)

To install:
Extract to your %appdata%\Runic Games\Torchlight\mods directory.

Should resemble C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\runic games\torchlight\mods\Bees on Vista or Windows 7.

Type %appdata% in start->run to access your application data directory.

=====================================================
Respec Potion

NOTE: This is the same respec potion as the XBox 360 Refer-A-Friend reward. This mod does NOT automatically place this potion in your inventory. You will have to purchase it from the potion merchant in town.

README:

The respec mod causes the general inventory vendor (hp/mp potions, identify/town portal scrolls) to offer the respec potion.

To install:
Unzip the structure into your %appdata%\Runic Games\Torchlight\mods\ folder.

You can find this by following the C:\Program Files\Runic Games\Torchlight\Application Data link.

It should look like C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Roaming\runic games\torchlight\mods\RespecMod if you are running Vista.

NOTE: If your vendor isn't selling the potion for an old character, you may have to get his current store to restock his wares. Vendors will restock if you spend about a half minute in town, leave, and return.

Enjoy!

Thank you very much, I've been wanting that respec potion. And the bee swarm spell is a nice little bonus. :D

Webb, you're shelling out money and hiring a guy to do things up right, never mind all the other stuff you do. Stop apologizing. You don't owe one to anyone. We all owe you a lot of thanks. I'll try and get a donation in when you're all set up, and I have the funds earmarked.

Agreed, but it's still understandable and necessary every once and a while.

  • Using these mods doesn't turn off steam achievements correct?
  • WebbstreWebbstre Posts: 7,218 ✭✭✭
On the contrary, using mods GIVES you some Steam achievements. :)

Will drinking this potion give you "the cheat" title on your character?
  • GegnarGegnar Posts: 2
Decided to try it, and it does indeed not enable the cheat title

Turning on and using the developer cheat console is the ONLY way to turn your character into a cheater.

    ...the ****?

Wow, spambots are getting smarter. Almost fell for that one.
  • I just wanted to report that installing this mod causes my Torchlight client to hang when I launch it =/ the only way to get out is to kill the process in Task Manager.

Is there any other mod like this?
  • WebbstreWebbstre Posts: 7,218 ✭✭✭
All mods have the potential to do that. You just have to let it load and wait until it finished processing the files.
