Random missile Wand - problem

Hi,

I'm trying to make a Wand that randomly fires one of the four elemental wand missiles when you attack. I've successfully created the skills to be called and attached the skill to the wand, and it works, but only in the offhand. If it is equipped in the main-hand or if it is your only equipped weapon then when the missile impacts an enemy the parent skill used to fire one of the missiles continuously recasts itself (seemingly from the enemy you just hit).

Has anyone had a similar issue and managed to fix it?

I tried the wand using a different skill and had no issues with it, so i think it has to do with the parent skill using EXECUTE_SKILL, but i have no idea how i could manage the effect i need otherwise.
