Any Tips?

So after a horrible experience with blizzards latest project...i decided to give Torchlight a try because several of my friends said it was great and i knew that Torchlight 2 was going to be multiplayer so that really stuck out for me...but meanwhile i am playing the first one and i decided to play as a Alchemist....are there any tips or any advice anyone can offer on the class? Such as spells/skills to focus on and things of that matter?

Seems like a very fun build to play...i think i will try it.....Do you prefer a staff or dual wands with your build or does it matter?

it doesn't really matter what type of weapon you are using if you're a summoner, what matters is the effects and potentials of the equipment, you shouldn't stick to just one kind of weapon, change them as soon as you find items with better effects, preferably minion damage, minion speed, flee chance(% chance a monster will flee), and conversion chance(% chance a monster will fight for you)

flee will cause confusion to mobs and conversion will automatically eliminate some of the mobs from their offensive, if by chance you converted a boss monster, just wait for the effect to wear off so you can kill it for it's loots

it dosent matter at all. u dont even need to attack mobs yourself. the pets take care of everything. u just need to keep all the buffs active and spam spells. just pick up ANY weapon that benefits pets.
