the 'third kind' will be summoner. all 3 classes have trees for ranged,melee and summoning. but each class has a specialisation. destroyer-melee,vanq-ranged,alch-summoning. other builds are also tried but these are the easiest lines for each class. now a summoner vanquisher will focus mainly on traps instead of using them for support and put points in pet mastery,charm mastery,traps,etc.
about wands...they are actually better than pistols due to their elemental focus. for some reason(unknown to me) monsters show less element resistance in the combatlog than physical resists. but wands are not used by vanqs bcoz we use skills a lot more than the left-click attack and vanq's skills require pistol in hand.
