I like, the title font is a little plain, but leaves room for you guys to either draw something later in the BG or bring more attention to other things on the cover.

I hate to harp on something that other people have probably already mentioned, but you guys should probably update the message on runicgames.com.

Hello =^_^=. I'm coming from PWI (Perfect World) and since the game isn't very fun @ my level I've decided to give this a glimpse ; I'm getting tired of the immaturity and such on PWI.

I like what I see so far and me and my gf are going to give this a whirl on the 27th. :P Hope to see you all there.

Hey there, I would like to say that I really want your game to prosper, I want your MMO to excel in fair, balanced and fun game-play. I don't want to see this game die. It would be a sad day if it did. Because it holds a lot of promise.

Itachi:
PWI is having a bit of a lull right now because they have that huge expansion coming.

You should make the PURCHASE ability more clear. I really had to dig to find the places where I could purchase the actual game. I understand you are using advertisements pointing to sales websites, but all the blogs that point directly here, lead you to a dead end. (With only three sales sites, out of the thousands that exist for online game purchases, this is not a good strategy.)

Also note... The "Pastel blue" lettering up in the HEADER of the forum is difficult to read in the bright orange background...

I suggest making a dark bar that spans the header width, to allow the letters to stand-out more. Such that the bar runs behind the logo, so the same repeating image can be used. Or, just make a separate CSS entry for the header color of links.

It might be best if you actually replaced that link with a full banner, dedicated to those who might stumble upon the forums. (Since we obviously know where to find the home-page, being members of the forum, of the home-page.)

Just ordered my pre-release... Can't wait to play it. It is about time someone released a game that can run on older computers, and still looks great. (By old, I am saying my computer is only 10 years old, without a super-graphics card, but one that works well.)

It's hard sometimes to see a site through the eyes of someone who is unfamiliar with your product. New users who have only just heard of Torchlight will be visiting your site. They have not been following your company and so they will know nothing about the game. It is important to provide these users (usually on the first page) with a 'from the ground up' explanation of what Torchlight is and most importantly what is required to run the game. As it is, the first screen a player visiting your site is presented with is a BUY link. The resulting buy screen has absolutely NO system requirements listed on it, just a program name and a password field. Somewhere between first visiting your site and checking out for payment a user should see system requirements if they don't then you run the risk of providing more refunds than you would otherwise have to.

As it stands, after browsing around a bit on your site a user knows almost nothing about the game nor what is required to run it. Such information should not be relegated to FAQs, instead the About page should tell a new user everything they need to know. An intro, welcome, or home screen should provide an introduction to the game.

Just a couple of notes from a usability guy :)

I suppose you don't want to wait that long.

I have to agree with Happycat.
What I missed on the website were the system requirements (e. g. on the page "About").
One of the first things I search for when gathering information about a game that interests me, because I'm not the type of guy who thinks "the most essential way of living is keeping your PC up to date".
Even if they are pretty low, I think they should be there. (Or did I just not see them?)

And then I was irritated by the different versions of the game provided by the different places you can buy it. I have downloaded a version of a different place than where I later bought it. It said me "Invalid Activation Key" and I thought it's just waiting for the money transfer to complete. I try-and-error-ed a different client and luckily it was not an error.
The thing with different versions from differnt places and so on should really be made clear on the website.

Everything else is just fine. 8-)
all generalisations are false.

I really like the new website, it seems like the design has its own style that is really suited for the game. It is more like a quest game and the background is in a cave somewhere in Asia. There are great improvements since the last time I have visited it, especially on the FAQ page and the about page which are really helpful for new users.

Hello, I was wondering if you plan adding a fanart section to your site.
I think that there are few people (including me) who would like to pay a tribute to you and your Torchlight by creating some Torchlight fanart.
