Hey, I guess this is a little late but it sounds like a problem someone ran into with my mod.

I found this thread about the problem. I think it has been fixed and can be fixed for someone experiencing the problem if they upgrade their game to the latest version.

Sounds god. I've got a fix out in the meantime for people still having issues. I haven't been able to encounter the issue myself though, and the fix might actually come in 1.15 for all I know...for now though, I think Geomancy should fix it.

Installed Arithmancy ;ast night and noticed the bug just now. Two cracked 4/3 embers transmuted into a normal 12/10 Ember. I'm grabbing Geomancy now and will test in the morning.
I was looking for a time-saver upgrading gems, but man that was going a little far. Some transmutations added gems to my inventory.

Yeah, make sure to use Geomancy. It SHOULD fix that bug. That, and Runic has put this bug (it's a system bug, not one of mine) on their list of priorities to fix.

I have updated Arithmancy, removing the .adm files and writing a readme.

I am also extending a special offer to other mod authors: If you've done some gem modding, and would like me to make a version of my mods specially compatible with your work, I certainly will. Just ask.

If that does mean you have updated the download file it would be really nice to provide a version number/counter. Otherwise it is really hard to see if we are up-to-date with your mod. Something like "v1, v2, v3" or " 1.0, 1.1, 1.2" in the thread topic or initial thread post.

Right. I didn't change it because there are no functional changes, but I really should do that. I'll do that later today...I've got 2 flights and I'll take care of it after I've unpacked.

Even with the addition of Geomancy installed I am still getting much more out of my gem transmutations than I should. Again, 2X Cracked 4/3 ember gems will transmogrify into a single 12/10 Ember.
I'm also getting two new Ember pieces in my inventory whenever I upgrade 3 or 4 pieces. This pretty much give me unlimited Ember pieces I can constantly upgrade.

What version of Torchlight are you using? I can't figure out what is going on...the recipes are sound, so this might be a Torchlight problem...I thought I'd fixed it, but I guess not.

Same here. I tried installing the new versions of the your mods and followed the install instructions... problem is still there.

Maybe you should wait for the next patch before you try to figure out what could still be wrong in version 1.12... Problem might be solved then by the devs.

That's the hope. I'm on 1.14, so so the problem might have gotten fixed in 1.13 or 1.14, but it will probably be fixed when 1.15 comes out.

I certainly could make a compatibility pack, as long as Lathlas is OK with it. 'Something I've been looking at myself, actually.

Don't expect anything too terribly soon though, school has begun and at the moment, the reading alone is trying to eat my soul.

Knock yourself out. If you have any questions on it or need me to change a format in the Gem Type mod for compatability just let me know.
