Thanks! I'll try that.

When you frequently change and test mode it seems that some mod data are written in the character savefile and not properly updated with mod.
I had to delete the mod, load the character, save it and install mod again to see changes.
It's best to create new char for any modification of the mod and delete it after testing.

This is exactly what came to my mind after testing a couple more times -> the save files :)

Simple trick, fixed :)

ok, another suggestion for the guy that is a shortcut to the stash...how bout you configure him with a Heal All spell and cast that on the player and his pet. We need a healer in town and this guy would be perfect. What do we think about that?

Really you could just line up 10 of these things in a spot in town that is clear and you would have tons of space :D

Or just drop your gear on the ground and have virtually unlimited space for your stuff in the town. Might get a bit messy, but never the less pretty much virtually unlimited space. Although I admit it wouldn't look nearly as cool as to line up the stash chest along the edge of the cliff near the giant way port.

this mod is just doing wierd things to my game at first it would crash when I load from a saved game, I deleted the mod.dat and mod.adm and it fixed the crash. But now when I load from a saved game when I click on the npc my character attacks him and I cant access the shard stash. Did I screw something up?

It's a strange behaviour to attack a shared stash, try to empty all additional stashes and do the trick with refreshing savefile.

Good idea, even though it would be impossible to make stash do the healing I can try to make separate NPC. But I still don't have any idea how to apply such effect :?

Cool mod. So far works like a charm (and I really hope it won't screw my save files because I don't have back-ups).

I don't think it does anything like that, but nevertheless the voice of reason recommends to always back up your save games, and especially before trying out new mods... :geek:

Hehe, I guess we all have done that. It's so tempting to shut that annoying bugger up ;). Still in this case, I learned the hard way, that not backing up save games and lead to much grief. Even unmodded games can screw up save files, and no one can expect modders to foresee every possible bug a mod may cause within a game. Torchlight seems to be pretty good at keeping your save games up and running while you switch between various mod versions and combinations, but who knows...

But enough of this preaching, I'm going back to the hacking and slashing *huzzah!*

Postby Question » Mon Nov 16, 2009 7:09 am

I installed the mod with the 5 chests by the transmuter and 3 by the fish building.

Everything worked fine.

Now i finally patched to 1.2, and if i have the same mod with no changes in my mod folder, the game crashes when i try to load my old characters.

Please explain?

This is the one that doesnt seem compatible with 1.2. It just crashes my game when i try to load a save.

Edit : I tried creating a new character but it crashes when i try to enter town, so its definately something to do with this mod.

Is there any way to "rescue" this by getting my items back?

Sorry, but I didn't even try this mod. It's hard to recover items from the stashes they're written in savefiles, you'd probably had to revert your game version to make the mod work, but still if your savefiles are updated to new version they'll probably won't work with the old one.
