Replacing Sound Effects (TL2)

Is it possible to replace sound effects with custom made ones?
If so, how?

It will be possible to do this when the full game is released (possibly we will have to wait until the modding tools come out after release, but it may be possible to do it with the full game itself, even without the tools).
I do not think it is possible to mod anything, sound effects included, for the beta.

It was possible in TL1, I'm sure it's possible in TL2. Just not sure how mods need to be set-up to work in multi-player...
