Loading pre-existing chunks

Postby malygos » Fri Feb 19, 2010 10:19 am

Two questions:

1. How do I load either pre-built Torchlight levels or chunks in the editor?
2. Is there a cheat somewhere to load levels in the game?

The reason I'm asking is because I want to study the how the different chunks and levels are built so I can build my own. I'm trying to learn the editor one bit at a time and I'm starting with level design so any help is appreciated. Thanks ahead of time.

You can load and play each chunk in the editor by browsing layouts in the TorchED/media/layouts folder. I don't know of a way to load multiple chunks together in the editor or to force the engine to select specific chunks and put them together. In the game though you can use the console to go to a specific dungeon you've created.
