Turn Off Blood And Gore

Postby LittleOleMe » Tue Sep 27, 2011 2:14 pm

Hello,

I am looking forward to this game. However, I am one those people who hates blood and gore.

(In fact, I will be one of the few who will not buy Diablo 3, just this game.)

Will it be possible to turn off the blood and gore?

Thank you.

Just wondering (not being rude), if the blood were changed to be a happy rainbow color, would it still bother you?

I have no idea.

I'm just a wimp and hate blood and gore. I turn off the blood in any game. I just hate it.

Thank you.

Not a hundred percent sure about this, but I think we had a way to turn it off for Gamescom 2010. In any event, it should be trivial to disable.

Wasn't there a similar option in the original? I don't see why they wouldn't include it if there was.

I want a mod that does the same thing for Torchlight II that the german version of Team Fortress 2 does, as far as blood and body part replacements:Glitter and party favors!

EDIT OOOOh...I know what the first mod i'm going to try and learn and make is. Wonder if there is a way to make a glitter effect and make it so that every so often, when a mob drops items, they fall in slow motion, oblivion style, and glow rainbow colors as they fall?

Well, just after I posted, I realized that those kind of things would have to be created and then imported. I'm sure they're easy enough to make in blender, tho...they wouldn't need to be fabulously detailed, just shapes and textures. Maybe make it so that they dissapear right away. Of course, i'd love to make a party hat and kazaoo/noisemaker combo that you could wear as a helmet.

Torchlight II needs more silly items. I have faith in Runic that the list of silly items will be greater this time around, but we need more goofy mods.
(btw, Witchlamp...I love your name, and while I don't know where your sig is from, she's very pretty, in a hauntingly familiar sort of way)

Heh, how about a blood and gore slider, so you can go from confetti and giggles every time something dies to massive volcano blood decapitations.

lol there WAS a more blood mod. There isn't really any gore in Torchlight, just splashes of blood. I think people should have a choice.

You can actually turn it off in Torchlight 1. There's an option in your settings file.

Pinata mod please please please...party favors everywhere!
Stop making Torchlight 2 a Diablo 3 wannabe, stop asking why it's not competitive. Shut up and enjoy the damn game.

How about like, a mod where if you kill one creature, BLOOD JUST SPURTS EVERYWHERE FOR LIKE 2 MINUTES! IT OBSCURES EVERYTHING ON THE STREAM.
OH AND THE BLOOD COLLECTS ON THE FLOOR AND THE BLOOD LEVEL RISES SO YOU CAN FIGHT KNEE DEEP IN BLOOD.
OH AND IF YOU KILL OVER 6 MONSTERS IN ONE SPELL, BLOOD SPLATTERS THE SCREEN, LIKE IT'S COMING AT YOU! FOR 5 HOURS!

To the OP: I apologize.

To the modders: Though if you did this, I'd probably play through the game once with it.

Name that mod Doom's Wrath.

Edit: I can't resist: maybe even Torchlight II: The Wrath of Doom.

The WoW event for valentines where you could mail the decapitated head of anyone you dueled back to them was very very amusing IMO. That aside as people have been saying, it was in TL1 and therefore should be there unless they somehow managed to forget. Toggles never hurt anyone, except the devs that have to program them in but who cares about that anyways ;)

There's good amount of blood in the Dragon Age games. Killing without blood... sorry, need to satiate my blood-lust through gaming...
IMO, This should be kept as an option. BUT, everything's moddable.

Doom's mod, +1

If they make a switch for no gore I definitely would like a switch for extra gore. Its only fair.
