I'm not familiar with a lot of gaming netbooks, I know theres the m11x which can run call of duty maxed out. Maybe some tips for finding laptops in general?

Go for something with a 4:3 or 16:10 screen ratio and matte screen.

Find something with a graphics card good enough to run games well perhaps by checking this site for benchmarks on the particular gfx card: http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA-GeF ... 559.0.html

Then you've got this site with cpu benchmarks: http://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu_list.php
Around 2500 on this benchmark is a good bet for high graphics games, torchlight probably only needs 1700 or something maxed out though.

Ram should be 2gb+

Depends on the system. What are your system specs?

A friend of mine bought a MX11. Within 6 months, the hinges on the laptop broke. 3 months later, the graphics card burned up from running a hardware intense program called Windows 7. Couldn't get it repaired because he ordered it from a country that had no Dell authorized dealer and sending it back to the US would cost too much. Needless to say, he wasn't happy.

Yeah a "gaming" "11 inch is a questionable idea. The few things that do it are very expensive, and seem to have serious heat issues. An 11 airbook will overheat and shut down running windows 7.

However we are talking torchlight. You do not need a gaming laptop to handle it. I would look into the AMD fusion E-series for passable netbook graphics. Here's a video that shows you the kind of performance you will get: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=scBOz7mZJ14

f you want a better graphics then I would start looking at laptops 14 inches and up.

13.3 inch screen is a good size, still very lightweight and small.

If you can wait until Ivy Bridge comes out you can get an Ultrabook with up to 60% better graphics performance than the HD 3000, the GPU that is on the same chip as Sandy Bridge processors. But, a current Macbook Air or any other Sandy Bridge Ultrabook running windows can run Torchlight fairly well.

This guy tested Torchlight 1 on an 11 inch macbook air and it ran great: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JDIF_k7RgtE

Acer made a Timeline x with an i5 and a radeon 48- something. Kinda pricey but pretty powerful. Or you might want to wait for ultrabooks to come out. SSD's and ivybridge chips will make them scream. Intel's pricing them under a grand.

I agreee with that, it depens more on which resolution you have on the notebook/netbook

I guess i should be more specific. I am not really looking for laptop, but i might consider a light weight one. But specifically I am looking for a netbook that can run Torchlight 1 or possibly it's sequel at any setting, with any specs, any price. Thanks for the good suggestions!

ASUS Eee PC Seashell 1215N-PU17-BK is your best bet imo. 400 bucks and good dedicated graphics memory. You're still better served by waiting for Ivybridge.

You might try looking for netbooks that play starcraft 2, I found pages such as this: http://www.squidoo.com/best-small-gaming-laptop

If it plays starcraft 2 it will probably play torchlight easy.
