A few questions

Postby Prokaryotes » Sat Oct 08, 2011 4:47 pm

Notice that im only interested in the multiplayer part of the game, hence all questions are in this regard.

Does the game has 6 or 8 people for multiplayer?

When i start playing how many hours of gameplay do i get and is there something like endgame content?

Will there be a cow level?

Is there a lobby where you can chat and trade with other guys?

Can the game be considered easy, medium or hard, difficulty wise?

WIll there be PvP?

They are thinking six but. can be modded for more.
Well, I don't believe there is a exact number but, more than the first game. Doubt it.. most "endgame" will probably be mods.
Unknown.
It will have multiple difficulties and hardcore mode optional like the first.
Pvp will be Mods only and the servers will be separated between people with mods or not.
Hope that helps

If you mean mod some companions, I don't see why not. You'd only be able to use them in your own game, unless you got a friend to install the mod as well.

Are there mods which work, while joining games with people, without this particular mod? For example my own GUI or something?

Bots were fun in Diablo 2 endgame, because it was fun scripting them and look up the loot in the morning. Or to run 2 instances of D2 and have always a companion with you. Though blizzard banned me, and since then i never played any Blizzard games again.

For single player, if you're going to cheat like that, then you might as well just use the console to spawn whatever items you want instead of leaving the game to run overnight.

It's doubtful that you can do any of that stuff in multiplayer because that would be cheating.

Any mod can be used online only if everyone in the room has the same ones. So no, you can't use a GUI mod if everyone doesn't have it. The game can't tell what is a GUI mod and what isn't.

If you want companions, you could probably create them in your single player game, just like the pet and mercenary mods for Torchlight 1.

Notice that botting is not cheating. Cheating is using hacked items/cheats to gain an unfair advantage over other players, like unlimited lives etc.

If you want to get technical, botting does give you an unfair advantage because you're killing monsters and gaining items that someone else could have killed/gotten but can't because your godmode character kills the monsters before they get a chance to. It's especially true if only certain monsters drop certain kinds of items.

I'm assuming you're making your character invincible and powerful because you don't want to spend time healing or even playing the game to collect items, which is fine, good for you, you just won't be able to to that online unless everyone agrees to do it. You can go nuts doing that in single player, but again, just use the console spawn feature and get whatever item you want instantly and save a bunch of time.

Wether botting is cheating or not is besides the point, you can't exactly bitch about Blizzard banning you when bots are against their rules. You don't want to play by their rules, you get banned, simple as that. If you don't like it, follow the rules next time.

I won't be there, I don't really care much either way lol. We'll all enjoy the game and let others enjoy it how they want. :)

Whats the pointing of Botting???? Someone will make a Mod as a "General Store" for people to purchase items probably, botting is worthless unless you can't get the item, which will be hard because you can just hack it and throw it in inventory.... so makes it worthless...
