Blizzard said that their in house version of D3 is ready, and a release date will come in the near future.

I'll stick to Q2 for D3, TL2, and GW2.

Also, pre-orders for $20 games are extremely uncommon. Usually pre-orders only happen with games that have been hyped up months before release, and cost $40-60. I don't even see the point in arguing for a TL2 pre-order anyways - do you really have so little self control that you can't hold onto $20 until the game comes out?

That's Discord. He's a villain from the first couple episodes of Season 2.

Why do you think there was no podcast this week? ^.^

Also, Dischord is an awesome villain, for no other reason that he's voiced by John de Lancie -- that's Q from Star Trek, for the unwashed masses.

Seriously, let's try not to mock people, or judge others worth as worthless. After all the only way to know somebody's worth is to analyse their soul's Doom-point-value.

I judge folks on an Oddball to Moriarty scale.

I don't age discriminate. I say 'kids' affectionately :P I'm a kid at heart. I mean, come on, I pretend to be a talking anthropomorphic western grey kangaroo, for crying out loud lol who the heck am I to judge anyone?

@the troll that companys are all knowning and never make mistakes that cost them, I skiped through most of that, please go stick to fanboying wow and blizzard not everyone conciders decissions made to always be that of a rocket professor. You need to respect diablo as a actual competior because its fact that it is. It will also help, it will also cost. Its a very well known game. Battle field launched before call of duty for a reason. Many people baught battle field only because it came out before call of duty, the smaller company has insentive to have people try there game first. While obviously there will still be profit either way if the game is good, its still not hard to see whats the better option. The game should get finished properly, but I think they should really glue themselfs down and try to get some release info, alot of people are tired of waiting and willing to jump ship. Alot of games give a release years before the game comes out, I thought we were in the home stretch, and all the waiting seems not needed for the release date is not needed. Thats all im gonna say.

Being locked into a purchase while you still know a game or have the money in your checking, couldent do any harm. I know a few games I wouldent of got if they didnt have pre order, because I forgot about them, or didnt have money on the release. Wouldent hurt, could only benifit.

First of all, people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones...

Secondly, I kinda feel the same way a lot of people feel...irritated. We're ALL irritated on some level that either Diablo 3 and/or Torchlight 2 was delayed and that there isn't a release date announced for either yet. Regardless, everyone needs to try and not take out that frustration on one another...on these forums. I think we're right on the cusp of getting a D3 release date announcement (which is rumored to be unveiled next week). I'm guess that TL2 is not far behind, but that's anyone's guess at this point. I honestly don't think RG cares a great deal about releasing TL2 before or after D3...as long as it's not released the same day (or week perhaps?) lest it be overshadowed. They have been, and are, doing their own thing regardless of what goes on in the video game world around them.

Did you listen to the podcast put up on the Runic Games Fansite the other day with Wonder? It was a great listen - perhaps you should...and then relax.

@ the troll calling others trolls, let's refrain from calling trolls troll's troll trolls, okay? ;)

Anyways, I agree with Brixtan. We all want to see games come out, and most of us have been waiting a while for them. Personally, I'm stoked for TL2 and GW2 - both of which I won't see for a while yet. Plus, I'm excited for D3, Firefall, Planetside 2, End of Nations, and quite a few others.

Maybe, but for the past few months I haven't had any new games other than KoA:R, which I'm kind of tired of playing. So it's Borderlands, Shogun 2, and Guildwars/KoA:R when I can force myself to play - and watching a lot of anime.

Same :< .. I notice I spend more time scrolling through my game list in Grid mode than actually playing a game :\... After awhile I just end up watching Guild Wars 2 videos while I cry myself to sleep.

Can't really compare Call of Duty vs Battlefield 3 in the same way you compare TL2 and D3 rhough, the first two games are basically identical in gameplay and content and people most likely buy one or the other. TL2 and D3 though are two sides of the same coin - same concept, but still vastly different in gamer experience. So most will get both. So releasing oen before the other isn't at all as important as it was for Battlefield/COD

I think it wouldn't be bad for them necessarily. the thing that would help runic most would be riding the hype around d3 to their benefit. and easiest way to achieve that make people compare two games extensively in reviews, with competing head-on. number of people that's gonna find their way to torchlight through diablo3 is much more than direct customers.
maybe not in the same week but same month would definitely help.
