(not entirely sure why I edited my post to admit I was wrong considering it's already been quoted..also made the conversation super confusing)

Anyways I'm sure we just made Brian cringe so *rerail*

like i told hawkn, i only believe if they said they won't release some day, so 2 weeks is larger than 1 week, thus 2 weeks should be counted more weight which became a better assumption, although i totally welcome TL2 to release any day before that, but from all the "delay excuse technique" experience the Devs learned from blizzard, it is highly ... unlikely

edit: i think the maximum separetion from D3 is said to be a month after may 15th, not 2 week after, although i do remember something about 2 weeks, but i've heard about the "a month" talk too. wish for releasing early, prepare for releasing late

why people start to spawn ads in this forum? i thought they only try that on not-so-popular forums so their ads get last longer.

PAX Prime is something like 2 blocks from their office

here's some stuff from last year's PAX. I think its where we were introduced to the embermage and also where we learned the railman was changed to the engineer

I feel as though something important has been overlooked in the commotion of this dual wielding debate, and that thing is this:

It doesn't matter how Runic handles dual wielding, shields or melee two-handed swings, everyone's clearly going to be using cannons as soon as they find their first one.

I wonder if they can make a shoulder mounted version...

Imagine the possibilities with those babies! (Someone should mod in a mesh replacement for the cannonball that animates when you fire a cannon and replace it with a rabbit or gerbil).

There's really some awesome cannon designs in the game(check sig), and I was quite surprised to see Runic put them in. They are seriously awesome, and not something we see too often. They are kind of held like most heavy weapons in video games (mini guns, sci fi and non etc).

The first (and only) mod I made for Torchlight was a mod that let you dual-wield rifles.

I might have to resurrect that mod..for cannons XD

This brings back good old memories of my Serious Sam days (which is the only Shooter besides Unreal that I ever really enjoyed).

It seems "Rifles" with long barrels, like the ones in TLI1, are infact in the game!

Here at 6:35 , the Outlander is clearly shown shooting with a simple yet elegant rifle.(those two guys are super cheesy btw)

Yes, but I think it still functions with the 'shotgonne' style fire, an AOE fan, probably with less dam per target than you might get out of, say, a similar level crossbow.

I guess, but that doesn't mean a quick easy mod can't let us have actual long range single target rifles ;)

At most, the firing effect could use a couple of adjustments to make it longer, so it can accomodate the range.

Why not just use a crossbow for the single shot range style?

BTW, I want to remind everyone that what Max said in that interview was that When It Is Ready, TL2 would still not release within a month after D3. He did NOT promise that it was releasing a month after D3 if they are still polishing on it.

And, if anyone cares to recall, all previous erroneous release predictions seem to have arisen from parsing of comments Max has made in stand-up con interviews - and we know how precise THOSE have been.

So, for the moment, THERE IS NO RELEASE DATE!

Because a crossbow isn't a gun :P
