That would be really cool. Use Fraps is really good for recording games and I think MSI Afterburner does it also.
Fraps really doesn't have a whole lot of options and the damn thing recorded a 2 minute video at the size of 4 gigs.

Do I have to have a pre-order as well to get into beta?(which I do have just not sure how it would be connected to the account here) Also since it was done after the beginning on the weekend do I have any chance at all of getting in?

"Please DO NOT EMAIL US ASKING FOR A KEY. YOU WILL NOT GET ONE BY DOING SO AND WE WILL NOT RESPOND TO THOSE EMAILS." which as a paying customer I find insulting.

I'm the same boat as you. The problem I have, is that 3 of my friends signed up for the beta the same hour I did and they are already playing the game together. I keep getting texts from them mocking me. I'm curious about the beta selection process. Is it just random?
Edit: 20 mins after I typed this I got my key. It's Saturday evening and they are still cranking them out. Still curious about the beta selection process.

I think that it is fine that they let everyone get the chance, I just feel stupid, because I thought preordering WOULD get me a key, so I didn't bother to enter all those giveaways on the run up to the beta. I would love to play before the beta test is over to wet my whistle, but I also want the game to do well, so having those players who are still deciding, get to play the game and decide to buy it because of the beta, will only make the game a bigger success and give me more people to play with online.

I think that it is fine that they let everyone get the chance too, however I think people who pre-order the game should simply get beta access automatically since they already paid for the game.
I registered my account around the 16th or so.
Our original plans for the beta were for it to be to be just a very small group of friends and family, but we discovered after we started that we needed to get more load on our servers. Pre-orders have been going really well for us, so there's a lot of people right there. And, while we'd love to give beta access to everyone who pre-ordered (even though there was never any guarantee that pre-orders would get beta access), we only have the ability to give new things to everyone who pre-ordered through Steam or no one who pre-ordered. Valve respects your privacy and won't give us your email addresses -- and you should thank them for that!
The problem is that -- if we opened the floodgates on people who pre-ordered -- we would have no ability to stagger the distribution of those keys. That sudden, giant influx of people is not something that what we would want at this stage in our testing. You guys have to keep in mind that the purpose of this beta is to test our systems so that things will be ready for release. I hope I've articulated the issue for you in a way that didn't make your eyes gloss over.
I know you guys are waiting and are excited. We're excited too and we really do appreciate your support: it means the world to us. We don't want to make you wait any longer than we have to.
tl;dr: sorry for the mess; it wasn't intentional.

Hey, everyone. Just wanted to get you an answer on this. It's way too complicated to fit into a tweet.
