funny story and some ideas for the game

So Torchlight II is still basically WOW with clicking ? Well for some reason I played to level 21 without only 2 abils. White damage from weapon swing and some sort of damage spell. Here I was thinking I was playing the game right and then I find out I should have like 5 or 6 things mapped to mouse buttons and/or my keyboard. I thought this was going to be a more simple wack a mole experience which I thought the original Diablo was but guess not. Anyway now that I see this game is closer to WOW than I thought it was I may not be buying it but hey at least you won't have to deal with my fail toon in multiplayer. LOL

Don't get me wrong btw this is a great game but I am not of the button mashing type anymore and never was really good at it anyway. Torchlight 2 has great sound, atmosphere and looks great even with the cartoon like art (ask Blizzard it worked for them) but with all that crazy combat going on so often I really wish there were some long movies at the end of kills or at different quest stops to give you a break from wack a mole plus or whatever you want to call the combat.

In all likelyhood I will get this for the 1 player experience and will play it with family but the way I play it will be pretty ugly. : Z

but again though to break the cycle of killing and killing and killing this game needs some cg movies

I played with pretty much 1 active skill and put the rest of my points into passive skills. For my Outlander I only used the starting Glaive skill + a bunch of Posion boosts.
For my Embermage I actually ended up with 3 skills! 10 sec and 9 sec cooldowns, plus the fire hammer. :/

I think it's about 2 or 3 abilities maximum... Depending on your class a lot of them are the same, "Does stuff to monsters in an area". You really don't need 3+ spells that do the same thing.

well I was not even using self heal and some other abilities LOL

I had pots and that was it :)

it is just sad the way I was playing it and even if what you say is true you should have all available abils mapped so you can use them if need be

anyway like I said I am not sure if I am up to playing a WOW hack n slash .... we will see
