So the statement it's a press release from you and youe publisher is just utterly wrong? Like are those guesses from the magazines or from Daedalic?

It's a guess made by a magazine based on a guess made by the publisher. The publisher probably said 'Eh, areound the end of August, maybe, maybe around the twenty-eightish, something like that' and the magazine reported it as being some arbitrary date they pulled out of their ass, more then likely. It's all about drumming up interest/webhits. Like Brian said, unless they announce it themselves,

Dunno this whole story is smelly. I mean it's not the usual "we heard the release date through the grapewhine", so apparently comes from one of Runics partners and the news are saying it's been a press release from both. It's hard to believe one of their Publishers just gives out guessed release dates tbh. Time for conspiracy theories yay!!!! It was a misundersanding, Daedalic should give out this information after Runic announced it themselves, also it's only the boxed version date the download versions are available a few weeks earlier!!!
