One, we literally settled on a date within the last couples days. So, yes, we will have sat on a date before sharing it for a whole 8-9 days.
Two, we have the greatest 1 person marketing dept. in the industry...but, that said, we have to make the best of every opportunity to market the game. Announcing at PAX gives us the best visibility from rabid fans waiting for the game, game journalists, as well as from new eyes. It's a no brainer. PAX is also 3 blocks away from our office, so it's as close to our home turf as we could get...which makes it special.
