Tried to respec

I tried to respec using this method:
Go into My Documents\My Games\Runic Games\Torchlight 2\save\############\settings.txt

Change Console:0 to Console:1

In game press insert or CTRL+SHIFT+Numpad 0
Type in "resetskills"

I know they changed this so it cannot be done in multiplayer games. So I went solo, but now it reset my skills. But gave me no points to spend, LOL! Now what?

if you dont have any points, use the command "SKILLPOINTS ##" but make sure you only give yourself as many as you should have or you will be flagged.

skillpoints 45 and statpoints 225 will be correct for a level 45?

Skill points = Level + fame level. Stat points = Level-1 x 5

Idk what your fame level is so i cant say how many skill points, but if you are level 45 then you should have 220 stat points (you dont get points for level 1)

It means that when you go online there will be a little red ! next to your name and when you get inspected it will show you used console commands. Not a big deal to me really but some people seem to care.

lol that would be easier as far as stat points go, but that still wouldnt take fame into account for skill points

Respecing through the console command wont flag you, but using a respec potion will. I have confirmed this myself.

Fame also adds skill points, you will be missing those too now :/

I didn't use the potion.. But I used console commands to give me 220(225 by accident) and 45. How can I see if I'm flagged? I did all this in single player, will it flag me when I go online, or even in singleplayer? And what fame level is "Local hero" or something? As I didn't give me the fame points up until then

You can't check yourself, only other people can see if you're tagged or not.

the flag is only on that character ... don't worry. just make another character for online, and no one will see what you did in SP ;P
