Installation question

Everytime I start my game, it installs it. Is this normal? Is there something I need to do. I've somewhat of a newbie to all this game playing, but didn't think I needed to install everytime I opened the game. Does it override the previous install or is my computer getting multiple copies of the game? Also can I use my keycode on another computer, and is there something I need to do to do this. Thanks in advance to all you skilled experience players. Newbie.

If you're downloading it on XBLA it downloads and installs the game automatically to your Xbox or are you playing it on PC? If so where did you buy it? Is it digital or a retail copy?
