Two things I have wanted in every action rpg.

Village building and mini games.

Village building - where you start with a simple home, create a blacksmith, a potion shop, etc. and improve these over time, getting better and better equipment and having more and more people move in. Add some resource management like a logger, butcher, etc.

Mini-games. Like those found in Red Dead Redemption or Witcher, gambling games, skill games, stuff to take time out of killing and upgrading and flesh out the world.

I would like to see Act 0 installed where you run through an upgraded version of Torchlight 1 on your Torchlight 2 characters. All the mobs would have to be upgraded as well!

+1 Survival Mod
+1 Survival Boss Mod
+1 Nude Mod

-----

The only problem I had with TL1 was the teeny, weeny inventory. If there was some way to increase the inventory size that would be cool. In the same vein, a mod to make instant pet-to-town trips would be just as cool and probably easier.

Actually I hate nude skins. They tend to be ugly. The only game I bother using a nude skin is Titan's Quest: IT because the armor look a lot better on the character without the toga always being worn.
Someone did a stripped down version of the Vanquisher armors(Called Revealing Armor). While not full nude it was a well done job while giving enough 'kink' for the perverted gamer. ;)

I'm really, really excited about the confirmed use of the Steam Workshop. I love being able to find and install mods so easily. :D

Also, I'd love to see a survival type mode as well.

I would love to see a dungeon styled after the original Legend of Zelda, along with keys, and switches and little puzzles you have to complete to progress.

One thing I would love to see is more of a utility than a mod.

Does anyone else know of a program that was created for Titan's Quest called TQVault (originally created by Bman654)? It was a program that was originally created to provide a shared stash for your characters (the shared stash was added in the Immortal Throne expansion). Even after the expansion many people continued to use it because it allowed infinite storage space for items as opposed to the limiting space on mule characters.

You could create infinite stashes and label them in any way you chose. It allowed you to organize your item collection in a way that made it easy for you to find things quickly. You then could load up your different character files and transfer items back and forth between them and the stashes. It provided an avenue for us collectors to keep all the cool uniques/rares and sets stored without needing to take up numerous mule characters. I believe ATMA did the same thing for Diablo 2, but I had stopped playing Diablo 2 alot before it was released.

I understand programmaing very little, but if I did I would look into creating something like this for Torchlight 2. Having a place to keep all the cool items organized would be a blessing!

Gun Game Deathmatch Mod with GW2 type skill builds.

Each player starts with the same weapon and has 3-5 skills based around that weapon type. Each kill they automatically swap to a new weapon with new skills. Perhaps each class would have a few utility/passive skills that make each class unique.

And they should call it, "Soulfish".

There was a mod, "Queen Hatshepsut", here is a link: http://forums.runicgames.com/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=4322

What it did was to change your pet (more or less permanently) into:

. . which I thought was a great improvement over the regular pets. It -was- a bit OP, I do admit, but lots of fun.

I'd certainly like to see it ported/created in T2.

This reminds me of something I'd mentioned in another thread: would anyone else want a mini-Dark Zealot pet, if only for the therapeutic value? Note that the mini-Zealot (she's about 3/4 to 2/3 of the original's size) does not have any of innate abilities, but does come with a staff (and as such uses the staff attack animations for melee combat)...

Would love to see a SC mod where the whole game looks like a futuristic warzone. (if possible SC2)

A Diablo II re-skinning of characters and enemies.

A Median XL mod for game ++

A mod for online co-op (this will be while in the making me thinks)

Mod where all the major bosses/sub bosses and elites are reskinned to look like the entire runic staff.

A secret Kangaroo level dedicated to Zidders.
Don't hate, instigate!!

A portal near the where the destroyer is found in Act 1, which leads to the town of Torchlight, you can walk through it into the mines or the shadow vault, and play through TL1 all over again! just with friends and the new classes...

Also, an exact port of the TL1 weapons/armors/trinkets/spells and the original 3 unchanged classes ported :D (would be fun to play those in multiplayer on the TL1 areas (essentially a port of TL1 into TL2 :P
