How do you take screenshots in Torchlight?

Where are they stored afterward?

Haven't got access to the game on this laptop so I can't try it, but shouldn't Print Screen work?

And either they are stored in your main game folder, either in your appdata folder where your saves are. Me thinks.

I figured there would be a screenshot folder in the torchlight folder, but as I just looked and didn't see one, I guess there isn't.

I don't know if there is a proper way but what I have done so far is used the printscreen key on keyboard, alt tab to desktop, open paint and paste it in there. Rename file and save to my pictures directory. Then I use a 3rd party app to crop the image if needed.

You're sure they're not in your appdata folder?

To access it:
Vista/7: C:\Users\YourUser\AppData\Roaming\runic games\torchlight\
XP: C:\Documents and Settings\YourUser\Application Data\runic games\torchlight\

and then in there in a folder called screenshots or something like that?

Hold down shift +F9 to take a screenshot.

Screenshots will be in
XP: C:\Documents and Settings\INSERT USERNAME HERE\Application Data\runic games\torchlight\screenshots

I was trying to hunt for the screenshot folder on Windows 7 but for the life of me couldn't see any AppData or Roaming folders in my Users/usernamehere directory, checking the install folder for Torchlight, I discovered a handy shortcut to the AppData folder.

I don't dig it out of any folders; I just hit the PrntScr button, then when I'm back at the desktop, open up GIMP and press CTRL P to paste it into a new blank image file the appropriate size (1920x1080 for me).

Should work for most graphic programs.

The appdata is hidden, and to browse there with Explorer, you have to change Windows so it shows hidden files/folders (in Folder Options). You can also go there by typing the system variable in the run window (press Win+R, type %appdata% and press OK).

just click on the Start button on the taskbar, then in the find or run box type
%appdata%\runic games\torchlight

you're going to have to know where that folder is eventually because that's where all the char save files are as well as the game's settings file

folders are hidden to begin with

go to folder options and make sure show all files is set

then you can see it from your C:\Documents and Settings\"username" directory

There is a shortcut in your Torchlight directory (where you installed it) that takes you to appdata directly.

i tried taking a screenshot with shift+F9 but i went to C:\Documents and Settings\Jason\Application Data\runic games\torchlight and there isn't a screenshots folder there.
