Editor Delayed because of Bebop

Postby Bebop » Fri Oct 30, 2009 7:25 pm

Hey everybody. Just wanted to let everybody know that we aren't going to be able to release the editor as planned today or even monday of next week as I had mentioned in multiple threads. Pretty much our QA has been focused on testing the patch we hope to release at the beginning of next week. We just need to make sure we get everybody running the game that can and get rid of some of these really annoying bugs. Please direct all flames to me - AKA Bebop also known as Marsh.

BTW if anybody is interested.... The bug dealing with long load times should be much better. Also I fixed the bug with people adding mods and taking minutes to load into the game because of it. Also fixed the issue with Ogre not reading in Mesh's correctly from the mods directory. For those people who crashed when adding mods because of "funky" characters other then english as the user name - Fixed.

Hope everybody has a good Weekend and a good Halloween. Again all flames should target me.

Nah, I really don't mind. I'm glad to see you guys are taking priorities, mods are great, but I value an official patch higher. Good luck working on the patch!

No worries, when I think of other games and their promises on updates / release dates, waiting a week really doesn't bother me :P

Cool, I needed an extra weekend to teach myself 3dsmax anyway.

Also and I can't stress this enough :!: :!: THANK YOU :!: :!: for the communication and status updates and stuff. You guys put to shame almost every other dev house in the business since you actually bother to tell us little stuff like this. It's almost becoming a lost art.
Arguing over a video game? That's just silly.

Are you fixing the load times by removing the zipping of the game files I'm trying to do some stash modding and having to zip everything every time I make a chance (evne just updating takes 3-5 minutes) is a giant PITA

Dangit. I was really looking forward to that editor too. As much as I'd love to flame you Bepob, you're just so damn lovable.

Here's to hoping we see it within the next week or two!
