The achievements system in Mythos was great. Every achievement gave you a bonus you could equip to your character, and you had a new slot open every time you gained 10 levels. I always loaded up on movement speed or melee damage achievement bonuses. So like, if you picked up a lot of shoes/boots you could unlock the achievement that made you run faster.
