A niche copycat wonder that's doomed for a commerical failure. And it still has a loooong way to go before it becomes a solid and rewarding gaming experience. Do you even read what you write while you're writing it? I'm amazed you can't hear the sound of everybodys eyes rolling over in their sockets whenever you post stuff like this.

Hey, why don't you just heed your own advice -

It's ok to not like things or disagree lets just try to back off a bit and not be dicks to each other.

Roar. *hands globalist a chill-pill* There is just completely no point to your post aside from the whole "I hate PoE and TB so I'ma bash them cause I'm cool like that" thing which is indeed eye roll worthy. You can say Zidders' post is as unconstructive as you want as long as you realize your post is also just as pointless. Also, it's silly to threaten people with the whole "I'll ignore you" thing, no one really cares. Ignore him, or don't ignore him. No point in declaring it as if it'll hurt his feelings or change the way he replies to you.

I really wonder what is is about PoE that just causes stupid arguments. Every thread mentioning it ends up bringing out the stupidity in people (of which I have participated in as well).

As for the actual topic a friend got me a game called Towns earlier today. It's doing the "buy now to get early builds and a super discount!" business model that Minecraft/Terraria did and is also heavily influenced by them. It's a Dwarf Fortress/Minecraft/Terraria hybrid type game. You get a group of people and have to construct a settlement and then manage it's food supplies, mine ores and what not to advance it and also defend your citizens from monsters that dwell on the surface but also in dungeons underground.

It think it's a pretty interesting concept. It is in early stages though and definitely needs some fine tuning but it shows a lot of promise so I suggest if your into the whole settlement management thing to check it out, there's a demo at their main page (link)

You do realize that TB plays a ton of the games he plays, right? Very rarely does he outsource footage, and when he does, it's for a montage. TB is probably even more excited about playing GW2 and PS2 than I am. He played WoW regularly for years. And he still posts many videos of himself playing games after he's reviewed them, or they're months old.

Let me guess, you also think the guys making D3 are the guys who made D1 & 2, right?

After adding Batman Arkham city to my list I also finally picked up Sacred 2. It ok. Buggy but tons of loot and exploration.

So I am now dealing with

Skyrim
Amalur
Dead Space 2
Resident Evil 5
Batman Arkham City
Sacred 2
Diablo 3

Too much to play!

I do not hate PoE and do not hate TB - I just found the game quite boring and uninspiring after a few hours and thus do not agree with the opinion of someone (TB) who's played the game for all of 30 minutes and most likely has never returned to it, and never will (and who could blame him).

At this juncture, I think it is time to say the famous "Do not feed the troll!" line.

You have to drink liquid (with a base of water) on a regular basis to live.

Mostly playing EVE right now, and Warhammer 40k Space Marine.

Space Marine... whewh... I haven't had so much bloody violent genuine 40k fun for a long while. Relic has done an AWESOME job with the game. While an action game with very minor RPG elements, it captures the essence of 40k so well. Battling through the trenches with Orks, incinerating a dozen of them with a melta gun, smashing the face of a Flash Gitz with a thunder hammer... quite a cinematic experience. If anyone feels it's interesting check this trailer out.

It think I'll post a video later of me shooting the hell out of ork stormboyz trying to latch onto the valkyries.
And so he spoke, and so he spoke,
that lord of Castamere,
But now the rains weep o'er his hall,
with no one there to hear.
Yes now the rains weep o'er his hall,
and not a soul to hear.

Damn. I'm disappointed. I found out that one of my friends who I was hoping I could play Torchlight 2 with will be taking/hardcore studying for his CPA during Torchlight 2's might/maybe/possible release date window. I was planning on buying his copy as a gift, but I don't want to distract him, what with Torchlight having a way of sucking someone in and all.

Currently trying out Minecraft again. I'm terrible with building stuff (all of my homes have either been caves, or plain rectangle boxes), so I was hoping to try out some mods. I don't quite understand how to install them though, and most of the mods that I'm interested in are now out of date, so I don't even know if they would work.
I just want to get my adventure/exploration on.

It's okay dude, you can play with us! And then when your friend is done with studies you can help him level.
