About quests.. Well, you MUST follow the storyline quessts, or you will not be able to advance in game. This is, you can't continue to later levels if you don't kill certain bosses or follow certain path. You can't miss it.
As for secondary quests, such as "Find Deathlace Ember" or other, you just need to read the quest description, because all info is in there. Just find the mini-boss and slay him, or find the item you need to complete the quest. There is no long sidequests as means as the main historyline quests.

Thanks again man for your help.. Rely helped alot=)
You may reach up to 99, although you don't need such level to complete the game even in Very Hard difficult. If you came from Diablo, some aspects of the game are the same, but many of them are not the same.
Talking about Alchemist end-game fun, we can only tell you our oppinion, but you must play it by yourself to have your own impression.
Depending on what you spect from a game, Alchemist can be funny or not, so if you like:
- To go alone, cast nuking spells and see high critical numbers, then I would say you choose Alchemist > Arcane. In this case, I would put each level 2 points to DEF, 2 points to MAG, or 1 DEF, 3 MAG. Save one point each level for later use, in case you need some more STR or AGI for an armour/weapon. I would make a build like this (this if level 50 character) :
http://calc.torchlightinsider.com/index ... ,0,0,0,0,0With such build, you will have a good amount of criticals, a good amount of weapon (wands) damage, and your Ember Lightning magic will show you high numbers on screen. Armor Expertise will allow you to use better armour without spending much points to STR or AGI. Your main attacks will be Ember Strike and Ember Lightning (this last one does additionally a 120% weapon damage!!!). Ember Bolt will become useless, as well as Ember Lance.
Your set should be One-Handed Wand as main attack, and a secondary weapon that either increases your critical chance or increases your Magic Stat (or both would be better), so you get more weapon and spell damage. As armour, use one that grants you +DEFENSE Stat, because you will need good armour, and also increases your Magic Stat. You need to reach the highest weapon gamage you can, but also a good crit.chance and some decent defense. Don't forget resistances.
- If you like summons, and keep on the back of battle, go for Lore Skills Tree. You don't need much (I even dare to say you NO need) Magic Points on your stats, since you don't kill anyone, your minions do for you. In this case, I would, each level, put 4 points to DEF, and left one for possible later use.
A build like this could be nice (level 50):
http://calc.torchlightinsider.com/index ... ,0,0,0,0,0You imps will be somehow usefull for those first levels, but after the Alchemical Golem + Pet Mastery + Burning Bind will FTW. And you also have maxed the Thorned Minions. It will be a pain for the enemies to hit your minions (70% damage reflected). If you are in those 10 very first levels, with Imps at lvl 5 there will be some situation very hard to acomplish, such as some bosses etc... If you prefer, you may level up Ember Bolt to level 5, instead of Armor Expertise, so you will get easy to advance those first levels.
SOme people will say to maximize the imps, but I think that they are no as usefull as the Golems, since you need a corpse to create them, and they cost much damage in comparison to it's health and damage, and for later levels, they die fast, and you will have to spam-create them. Also in custom dungeons, where all monsters are your same level, the imps will be pretty useless.
You don't need a "pro" or a certain set. Almost any set will be good for you. You don't need much defense, you don't need much armour, you don't need much strength, etc...
- In the other hand, if you like close combat and blow powerfull hits with high number crits, just got for Battle Skills.
You are an alchemist class, so you CANT reach the same DPS or AoE as a Destroyer can. But you an do pretty good DS (Damage Spike). Also, your HP will not be the same as a Destroyer so your game will be "kill or be killed". You need to inflict high amount of damage in little time.
I would, as stats, put 1 STR, 2 MAG, and 1 DEF. Save always one point for possible later use. Why this build? Because all your, except Infuse, skills takes damage bonus either for your STR, or your MAG, or both. So it's good to have both stats balanced, so you increase the weapon damage but also the skills damage efects.
You could make a build like this if you like offesive build:
http://calc.torchlightinsider.com/index ... ,0,0,0,5,0Or something like this one if you feel safer with a defensive build (but less damage):
http://calc.torchlightinsider.com/index ... ,0,0,0,5,0With the first build you will do a 448% weapon damage (and much more damage if you use Ember Shock), and will have 20% armour bonus.
With the second one, you will do a 281% weapon damage (plus the Ember Shock damage), but you will have 40% more armour, and all defensive spells (healing, heal all, element protection, etc...) at level 5, and their efectiveness will be increased much.
Never levelup Ember Shield Skill. NEVER. At maximun level it only absorbs around 450 or something, and thats a ridiculous amount compared to the damage you can receive and the amount of health you will have.
In both builds, you can change one of the "+add weapon damage" for "critical strikes" so you have much more chances to blow a crit with a nice 120% crit.damage that will kill almost any monster in one hit.
As set, in my oppinion, you should aquire items with +HEALTH, +DEFENSE Stat, +crit% and +Damage. That's all. Also, magical resistances are very important for you as close combat Alchemist.
You may use either 2 1-handed weapons or a 2-hand weapon only, but I think it's better to use 2 weapons, because, even when the damage is lower, you can use two magical weapons granting you double magical properties. Don't use shield. You will lose damage potential.
Weapons speed is quite important. It's preferable to have a slow-attack weapon that inflicts high damage in a single blow, than a fast weapon this is much faster, but does less damage per hit, so you need several hits to inflict the same amount of damage.
Whatever you choose, it's up to you to create your own build, and it's possible my builds not to be good for your style of gaming.
Whatever it be, enjoy this great game.
