Those Vasman quests don't use that spawnclass, and thus are unaffected. For example, his first quest that awards one of those scrolls uses PUZZLEMAP_CRYPT instead of RANDOM_QUEST_REWARD.
What a relief. I have to confess that I have always had issues of sorts with mods, no matter the game. I'd prefer the original game to be so well thought-out, that there is no need for any modding. But, naturally, that just isn't possible in Real Life. Anyway, I played Torchlight through with Destroyer, without any mods installed. Then I stumbled upon Torchleech (a great program, by the way) and spent a couple of days going through various mods available, and decided to start the game all over. This time with various, very carefully selected mods installed. The game
will be better, no question about it. I should have used mods from the beginning. But better late than never, like the old saying goes...
