Okay finally here's the version of the Wolf Fish mod that is compatible with Awful Arthur.

Download it from RGF

This makes all the wolf fish available with Arthur, not just the Hellhound fish :)

I tested this, but let me know how it works for you.

So I guess I can download the mod now right and it will show up in fish mongers inventory?

He works great and gave me and idea for 3 more wolf types!
(Ice Wolf) his bite freezes the enemy!
(Lightning Wolf) his bite it quite electrifying and( Diseased Wolf) his bite is putrid and causes poison damage to whatever it bites and spreads to other enemies!
I also have color ideas for that as well but I can tell you later if your interested!

quiet bored with these elements skin of pet
How about alpha dog or wolf ?, am sure all packs have alpha
and lucky our heroes have the 'alpha' :idea: ;tadaaaaaaa;

am talking like Nanaki or famous known as Red XIII from ffXII :

Image
: extra dog ! :

increase armor, mana, health, strength, dex from the normal dog
(alpha's stronger but don't make it too strong suggest 0.5x or 1x only don't make it twice or the fun will lost)
make the dog skin looks like much have a scar
(make it simple don't cover the body, might be 1/3 of the body only)
big size but not too big
try to add an extra
example : tattoo, bracelet, collar, extra fur
or just make it wild like never been tame before

anyone interest :?:

Hi Goro3d!

I'm glad the mod is working for you :) the new wolf-types you mentioned are possible to make, but I have to spend less time on modding for a while and put in more time on work stuff :(

Hi Aekaku:

The pet you're showing is really good looking, but I'm afraid it can only be made by using a totally new mesh and, unfortunately, that is something that is beyond my powers :(

:D thanks sir, but no I don't want it look like that, it will look same as ZG tiger mod, which is entirely evolve the cat, not like that

hmph, the Goro3d suggest is nice even I'm tired of elements skin pets
definitely I'm looking for lightning wolf

I agree Phan it really is a fantastic job on the Hellhound.
Keep in mind if you wanna make additional wolves/dogs just let me know I'm a good character and judge of colors :)!

Hey Goro, thanks too!

Don't you worry! When I make more "elemental wolf" pets it'll be because you asked for them, so of course I'll show them to you first! :)

Hi goro3d! Actually there are some updates... I have successfully made 3 more elemental wolves (poison, lightning and ice) and they work fine as standalone pet mods (like how I released the original Hellhound).

I've gotten stuck however in getting them to work nicely together as fish-transform options for your pet. Basically the affixes which give them their "elemental bites" get all mixed up :(

I've been thinking of releasing them as standalone pets anyway... interested? :)

So your saying that installing them altogether will cause problems?
Perhaps standalone might be the best idea kinda stinks I was looking forward to a set but whatever you can do man!
However this could also be useful a multipurpose biting wolf will be cool :)
Can I have the mixed up affixes? I wanna give it a shot and see how good it is.
So how about a multipurpose wolf instead of independent\single wolves?
1 More idea also passed my mind do you think you could have the fish spawn more than 1 wolf at a time like 3 or more?
See if it works like pet summons I can see the good guys winning great/epic battle so what do you think?
However I have no name for a multiple purpose wolf that might be your area but I can think of 1!
So what do you think?

Hi goro3d! Sorry for the delay getting back to you.

You can get the standalone Elemental Wolves pet options pack over at RGF.

Again, this is a pack of standalone mods designed to work one at a time only. Am releasing this so that anyone interested can have something to play with while I figure out that elemental effects stacking problem with the combined version of this mod :)

UNITTYPES.HIE conflict

Postby CajunAzn » Sun Sep 18, 2011 6:46 pm

Hi I am currently trying to run a mod (ItemOverhaul Mod 2) which modifies the UnitTypes.hie file along side your great mod.

There are no file conflicts between these mods. The texture file and dog.dat loads up fine. However just that the UnitTheme, eg:

[THEMES]
<STRING>THEME:THEME_SHOCKWOLF
[/THEMES]

entry doesn't seem to be working for any of your 4 wolf mods. The effect doesn't show up even when I switch areas or switch from a monster pet and back to dog form.

After a lot of debugging, I realized when I deleted the modified UnitTypes.hie file from ItemOverhaul, the THEME effect showed up again for the pet. I did a file comparison of the modified UnitTypes.hie file to the original one in the Pak.zip, and the only lines changed were:

<INTEGER>UniqueIDs:560 (modified)
<INTEGER>UNIQUEIDS:177 (original)

+All of the additional UNITTYPES added of course

How could this simple change be affecting the THEME activation for the pet? Any ideas would be helpful, thanks!

hi cajunazn! thanks for looking into this and reporting it :)

The <INTEGER>UNIQUEIDS:value from the unittypes.hie file is just the count of how many unique units are in the file, so that line by itself wouldn't be the cause of the lost theme effects.

It would have to have been one (or more) of the new unit types added into the modified unittypes.hie file, and it looks like there were a lot (560 modified vs. 177 original)! maybe something related to the dog unit?
