Can Pyre critical?

Making a new minion based Alch and curious about Pyre. I realize the damage doesn't scale well, but if it can't critical it's even more to my liking since that will be one less skill I need to take (Critical Strikes).
Mares eat oats and does eat oats but little ghouls eat Ivy.

Nearly 6 weeks later and I have the answer....
While searching the Bug Reports forum I found Tiamat stated since Pyre was a DoT it does not critical.
