Leaderboard Q

Postby Mustelo » Fri Mar 18, 2011 3:03 am

Question about the leaderboards: Are these a one-time thing, because after completing the main story my score and # of kills do not seem to move. Anyone know?

I have been playing with new characters in the SV.The reason I ask is that it would be nice to know how many kills one had in the SV. Thanks.

It seems to me that number of kills and score is only recorded for the character who has done the most so for instance if you do 10,000 kills and then start a new character that new character would have to do 10,001 kills before it would show up on the leaderboard as a higher entry. However each time you restart a character although your position in the leaderboard does not change the number of kills does seem to reset to 0 on the weekly scoreboard.

In any event you can see the number of kills for your new character by looking at the stats. It is a shame that the leaderboard doesn't just show total score and total kills across all characters which would be a better reflection on your true position v other players. The scoreboards are totally fugged with stupid cheaters alas anyway.

Okay, thanks. That makes sense about the 10,001.

Duh, I didn't even think to look at stats. Thanks again.

Yeah, I agree the total number of kills shown across the board would be great.

Another thought; it would be great to have a separate scoreboard for the SV and maybe broken down by difficulty setting. I highly doubt I will play the main story again, but I will play SV for so time, I imagine. But anyway . . .

Hmmm so there is no such thing as an old school local highscore; i.e. your best 10 games. Oldschool Rogue ftw: http://www.mobygames.com/game/rogue/cov ... erId,6287/
