Very cool mod.

Pyroclasm is totally impressive. Heheheh, heheheh, fire is cool. ;)

FInished the main quest with my Demonologist. Very fun class. Lots of blowing stuff up. Lots of fire. Most excellent! :D

Ordrak went down with only one cast of Pyroclasm, so maybe it is overpowered? I was in Easy mode. My character was at level 41 at the time, with only two ranks of Pyroclasm.

By the way, Cataclism is also very cool, very well done. Visually, it's totally evil: the ground looks blighted/diseased/destroyed by the blast.

You must have had some serious weaponry as well! Armor and weapons with attributes can boost his power a good bit! :)

Hey, I love the look of this class, but I was wondering if anyone else has the same problem as me: when I try to return from a dungeon through a town portal or through the entrance, the loading screen comes up for about 20 seconds then the executable crashes. This used to happen to all my newly created characters when I first installed the mod, but now it only happens to my demonologist. Any ideas?


EDIT: Odd, sometimes it crashes, sometimes it doesn't...

I was hoping that wouldn't be the case (got rid of all conflicts in torchleech) but I guess I'll start from scratch... reinstalling everything looks worth it for this mod :P Cheers for the advice.

Not sure if this will help you, but I used the version of Demonolgist included with Jarco's (Jarcho's?) Class Compilation instead of getting the standalone version, because I didn't want to deal with Class conflicts.

Need help with this mod, ive uninstalled torchlight and only added this mod, but still no luck, i get to the character screen but it doesnt show the Demonologist icon, i can hover over the area where it is supposed to be and see the text box appear saying "Demonologist" but once i click that area the exe crashes. Any thoughts? Obviously there are no conflicts to be found in torchleech. Also i have the retail version of torchlight. no patches applied yet.

thank you for great mod, i very nice..

but, help me about some bug, for example:
1, skill 'soul bind' up to 1
2, load any shield
3, unload the shield
see Block value its wrong, each i load the shield that value +2 (or more).

and, level up any spell master level(for example: level up about
charm master level) also level up defensive spell,
and, the spell level req wrong of type ... level up skill of defensive spell also -1 attack spell level req...

i love this mod :| but too many bug.. wait for you fixed & thank you again

This class is my favorite, but there is an awesome bug in one of the most important passive skill: "WARBRINGER".
The problem is, when you had a weapon to the character, the bonus of the skill apply, then you remove the weapon and you think that the bonus was removed.
But if you put the weapon back in the character hand, the bonus again again, over the last bonus, so each time you repeat the process, the bonus stacks.

Beside this, if you reload the game, bonus are applied the good way, until you change weapon again....

does someone notice this bug? and more than this, how to fix the problem?
I've tried to look at the problem, but my skill at modding is really poor. Some help would be welcome...

This mod is imo the best so far in Torchlight, but the development is long dead. No use to post bugs or issues exept if some1 is willing to fix all thoose bugs.

Too bad, this had alot of potentials.

LOL. This is a good mod, but a mod that is abandoned literally by his creator, in first place isnt the best mod of TL. I tried this mod ago and it had some bugs that made me to stop playing with it, and he author didnt update it since looong time ago. Honestly, there are out there a lot of class mods better than this one, not only because they are up to date but because they are clean of bugs (or almost). Thats the reason the Demonologist is a good class mod, but the best????? loooooool, i suposse u only tried this mod right Agios???

I've tried most of the custom classes and I find this one to be one of the most original so far. Besides SpiritDancer, Airbender, and Kensai, (and Phamjam's Jedi/Sith Lord) there aren't that many class mods that deviate too far from the norm. This is a class that is pretty damn awesome overall and is my favorite so far. I wish it had been finished and debugged though. Some of the demonic possession and summon skills will crash the game when used. This isn't a mod conflict either (I've checked, my removing all other mods than JCC), I think it has to do with properties and effects of the skill. The Assassin, Banshee, and Ice Queen are also all excellent classes as well. Despite the bugs though, the Demonologist is still by far one of my favs, and I hope someone figures out how to add him to TL2 :twisted:

Well, yeah, but its a question of taste, i prefer mods that not only offers originality, but a perfect stability and very balanced skills. Balanced skills can be easy re-changed, but if a class mod crashes the game (something that happened to me 2 times i tried to test it out) and the author its look like he abandoned it, i cant say its the best mod (even if it was). I prefer by far the Vindicator (maybe the best class i tried), or the Enchantress or maybe the Valkyrie even if it is almost the same as the Destroyer. Lady Knight is another well-made class (a bit unbalanced on the skills btw). Airbender is the only alchemist mod i have installed, its cool, but for unknown reasons i dont like it very much, maybe cuz i prefer pure melee classes (another reason i didnt like the demonologist too much). I tried all the classes u name, and most of em are great, but the good thing about TL is that u can play with a class of your choice, melee, ranged, magic, etc. So, mostly i look into well-made mods, not only different. But the taste of everyone plays an important rol here.

I have tried if not all , the MOST of the custom mods , and i can say that what i liked most was this mod, and if u read my post carefully u will see that i wrote "imo" that means "In my Opinion". So yes IMO this mod was the best at his time.
No need to turn negative on that.

Anyway... its dead as i said :)
