Bridge extends but won't raise

Postby elphantasmogoro » Mon Jul 18, 2011 10:46 pm

I'm in the dungeon that comes from the first Mysterious Map Scroll. After clearing the two sides and pulling the levers, the bridge to the lever in the centre extended and i can walk on it, but it's still under the water. The bridge is too low for me to pull the lever and open the portcullis.

Tried reloading the game, but it didn't fix it. I've checked on all the forums for this glitch but it looks like nobody has had it. I don't have any mods installed and I'm running on Win7x64 Home Premium.

Any help you could give me would be great!

It happens from time to time. The approach to that lever can get very finicky. Try exiting to title, then exiting the game. Re-start the game. Approach the lever from across the bridge in a continuous long walk/run, but try to touch the lever from as far over to the right on the bridge as you can.

When this particular trigger gets balky, I can usually get it to trip after several exits, re-enters, approaches. It doesn't always seem to be so reluctant.

If you get frustrated with it, scream, throw fireballs everywhere, maybe some exploding arrows and Ember Bolts, scream some more. Then try exiting, re-entering, and approaching from that right-side angle. At least that seems to work for me.
