Dam that sux, I donno what everyone else think, but I got a feeling D3 releasing before TL2 is not a good thing for runic, either way ill still buy and play TL2 before I go get D3 (not sure I will buy D3, depends on if my friends wants to play it) Hoping Diablo 3 gets delayed 5 more months, JINX JINX! lol

I know this community goes crazy when we compare these two games, but try to just give opinions.

As for me, I will play whichever comes out first, then the second and finally GW2 and then fall back on may favorite of the three for extended play.

I am really curious to see how Blizzard North responds or if they even care but...
I think Runic will announce a date really close to Diablo's to ride the wave of hype?

cool. Honestly I love Torchlight and TL2 looks way good. But Diablo 1 was the first game i ever played..in my life. I was 5 sitting on my dads knee playing a warrior lol having him help me and such. Because of that Diablo will always be my favorite game series. And i can always find time for it. That being said I am Extremely looking Forward to Torchlight and i hope it is released soon.

They've already made plenty of announcements that they are not affected by Blizzard's title.

Hear ye, hear ye! This is a very strong reason why Runic doesn't give out release dates. For every release date that Blizzard announces; there is a bit of expectant disappointment and bitterness; instead of filling false hopes and promises, Runic is being upfront and telling the truth of the matter. Blizzard doesn't know when D3 will release any more than Runic for TL2. They're also not direct competitors although Blizzard may think so.

Epic win of who? Why? Why does Runic NEED to start before D3?

Runic is not releasing a shovel-ware 3rd party title; they have absolutely no incentive to ruin what is expected to be an excellent game with hasty and ill-planned fear because a "big bad monster" is looming its head. Why cower in fear of a monster when Runic is creating an even GREATER beast to fight it? They're doing their best and taking their time to create a AAA quality title; improving and strengthening an already great game. Rushing would destroy their efforts.

If it takes 3 months to polish a diamond, you won't get it done in 2. Likewise, if it takes 2~3 years to make a AAA title, you're not going to punch one out in 2 months. Please be patient and understand that Runic is NOT worried about the big scary giant.

It's not a cheapo indy project, please don't treat it like it is one.

Comes out right after I get home from my cruise, but I'll be too busy with E3 to bother until someone harasses me to play a couple hours in the evening or something. Too bad Blizzard, you missed a perfect window of opportunity!

If TL2 comes out within the next month, i will buy it. Anything later, it will be near D3 and which will take all of my time for the foreseeable future. It will be doubtful that i will buy TL2 come summer or fall.

As a action-rpg addicted since D1, both Blizzard and Runic Games will have my money on launch of their respective games, so to them there's no difference on who's releasing before, they're both getting mah money!

But notice I cannot play both games simultaneously. So yeah, it would be nice to play Torchlight 2 before D3. Because what cames first will be played first, and we all know these kind of games are very time consuming.

And to think I once thought it would be impossible to D3 ship before TL2....
