Pet Colour Choice?

Travis, does this mean that for every pet, there are a few choices? Is there a Siamese cat?

On the character creation screen we have a choice of face, hair and hair colour for our character, but as far as I can see from the Pax video there's no equivalent option to select a colour for your pet.

Is it too late to give each pet two or three alternate colours to choose from so that in multiplayer you have a better chance of distinguishing between pets of the same type belonging to different players?

This is a good idea, but even if it doesn't get put in the game, modding it in would be RIDICULOUSLY easy. That's the beauty of the fact they are releasing the tools. All you'd have to do is browse to the monster's folder under Torched, back up the .dds and open it up in photoshop to modify it to your heart's content.

Hopefully this makes adding skinning mods into the game a bit more compatible/selectable on the character selection UI rather than always just doing overrides.

I just wanted to say thank you to Matt, again but more directly.

Thank you, it really is a great touch that let's me feel a bit more attached to my pet.

Man when this game comes out... I'm just going to lean back, pick my pet's color scheme, toggle helmets to invisible, admire the organizational tabs in the inventory, smile at the greater zoom out distance, enjoy the randomized event chunks.

I mean I'm sure Runic would have added most if not all of these regardless of them being brought up on the forum but I for one feel I've gotten every major addition I wanted to TL2. Well, every sinlge one IF dynamite fishing is implemented. Still I do like the rare color choices!

Soooo. How about 15 pet color choices per pet? spoil me!
