Super Monday Night Combat

Postby Seer » Sat Apr 28, 2012 3:43 am

Has anyoned played Super MNC? It's the sequel to Monday Night Combat (not super) that came out last week. I really liked the original but couldn't buy it. The game is free to play, with a premium service in the same vein as League of Legends (skins, new heroes, etc).

The game is pretty crazy, evident from the art style and theme(it has some pretty wild weapons including a giant weaponized rooster!). It's set in a violent sci fi combat sport, similar to R&C's Dreadzone, Anihhilation Nation, Megacorp Games and Maktar Casino Arena.

I'm downloading it now, hope it's good.

And so he spoke, and so he spoke,
that lord of Castamere,
But now the rains weep o'er his hall,
with no one there to hear.
Yes now the rains weep o'er his hall,
and not a soul to hear.

Been having a blast with it. The announcers are hilarious, just hope they continuously update them so they don't get old.

These games are usually a ton of fun. I already have Team Fortress 2 and Super MNC seems like a nice game in the same vein.

I got sick of the imbalance, and quit.

Yeah, agreed. The game needs a lot of work still, especially on the polishing front.

But the Unreal Engine keeps surprising me. I've seen some shockingly good animations in the game (especially some taunts), not to mention the personality that most characters are able to portray. I love unreal so much, it creates so beautiful graphics and yet performs well on hardware, such a finely crafted engine and it is being put to good use with super MNC.
