It was really good. Like really good.

I can't wait to watch/read Arya's story... I need to get around to that some day lol.

grr... no HBO. LOVE that series, but I have to wait for the blu ray/dvd.
If disgruntled Diablo 3 players come to Torchlight expecting a Diablo game, they're likely to be equally disappointed. If they come to Torchlight just looking for a good game, they may find themselves a home.

I am seriously loving this series on HBO. All I can say is the Imp is my fave and the mother of dragons can have my babies! haha. I am about to start the second book and I cannot wait. Experiencing both the books and the HBO series doesn't diminish the story in either format for me at all.

I haven't seen season 2 yet (obviously), but I've watched season 1 about 3 times and read the books about 4 times each. If you like the show you definitely will not be disappointed reading the books.

I was considering not reading the books until the HBO series had played out, but I just could not deprive myself of such great storytelling and such amazing writing. I am an aspiring writer myself and I see no better place to take inspiration than from a master of the art.

If you take one thing from Martin, take this. Leaving your fans hanging on the edge of their seat for 4-5 freakin years sucks out loud. hehe ;) Waiting for A Dance of Dragons for so long is why I've read the series 4 times. Every year I would re-read in anticipation of the new book, only to learn it still wasn't finished.

I will keep that in mind for sure (If I ever even get published). I really love to read and my writing heroes right now (current not classical) are Terry Goodkind, Robert Jordan, Steven Erikson, and of course George R.R. Martian. I also really admire R.A. Salvator and Timothy Zahn's writings. I'm currently working on a high magic fantasy saga. I've discussed the concepts, world, back story, and political system that I have created for the saga with some people and I believe that I am almost ready to start really getting into my character development. I feel that I need to know my characters in and out and really have them seem alive and real before I start writing them into a story. What I have in mind is actually pretty complex and interwoven and I hope I don't end up tripping over my own story in the process. Thus the reason I am putting so much prep into it before I even start writing the actual tale.

Wow, really OT. I'll refrain from this line of thought for now.

I seriously gasped in the last scene with him in it. If I were Arya I would have accepted although I understand why she didn't.

You guys are gonna drive me crazy. When does the noun ray/DVD come out? Isn't it like February or something for those HBO shows?

You can watch them if you sign up for HBO go or you can do what I do and download HD game of thrones files via torrent clients.

As much as I'd love to get HBO just for GoT, I can't convince the wife to sign up for yet another premium channel just for a single show. I know, I've tried. Forget the great shows we've discovered as a result of getting Showtime just for Dexter..

I digress.

As for torrents, I'm personally against the idea. I consider it stealing and will not do it.

Aye. I'm just trying to think back to when Season 1 was released. I've also heard, but have no way to confirm, that HBO tends to do DvD releases one month before the new season begins. As Game of Thrones, I believe, began in March, I guessed February as a result. Guess I'll just have to watch out for it.

That's a logical line of thought, although I hope that they release it sooner so I can own this amazing series asap and also for all of those who have yet to experience it. It is my favorite TV show right now.

P.S. True Blood season 5 premiers on Sunday and I am almost as excited about that one but GoT takes the cake for me.
