TL2 on Steam. Whats with Amazon ?

Hey there

I preordered TL2 nearly a Year ago on Amazon but i read everywhere that the Game should preordered on Steam.

Im actually no Fan of Steam but still dont wanto miss the free TL1 Code ( Lost my own TL1 because of Fail Steam).

So do i have to take any cuts because i ordered on Amazon instead of Steam ? I mean in 2011 there wasnt a Option to get TL2 on Steam and i dont wanto cancel my Amazon preorder.

You're going to have to buy it again on Steam if you want it on Steam. You could always do a four pack with three other people. That will give you four copies at $15 a pop instead of paying the full $20 if the four of you each got it on your own.

Thats the Point, i dont want it on Steam cause like i said above, i dislike Steam.

So i dont get any Extras like the Steam Users if i stay on my Amazon Preorder?

I preordered the Game over 8 Month´s ago and get nothin for that ?

if u buy a milk in wal-mart u get a free coupon.

What is the URL for Amazon's Torchlight 2 preorder? I looked before I ordered it on Steam because I felt the same way and couldn't find it, but the deal on Steam is actually pretty good anyway. Still curious to see what is on Amazon? Can you post the URL?

It's not up on the US Amazon because the US doesn't have a boxed version distributor, only digital. You can search for it on Amazon.de, the german amazon since for some regions in Europe they have a boxed distributor.

Nice..thank you, I was actually looking for a boxed copy of the game, but it looks like I'm going to need it shipped from Europe? Is the box in German as well? Boxed instructions, etc in German?

I'm pretty sure everything is gonna be in german(and other European Localizations they might have), including the game. The distributor may or may not include the English Localization files. Depends on the distributor. Probably better to wait and see, or wait for Runic's answer.

Here´s the Link you asked for. And yes, its in Germany but still its quiet Unfair that Amazon User gets nothin wile the Steam User´s get Extras and they ordered the Game maybe a Week ago.

Maybe its my own fault that i bought the Game last Year ( Ironic hammer ftw ) !

PerfectWorld offers beta key for Neverwinter, not free TL1.

That's just the nature of the business. Different distros have different perks. It's actually an amazon/steam problem

Sure, i could cancel my Preorder but the only Alternate to get it would be Steam and like i said now for the Third Time : I Dislike Steam.

I lost my TL1 and Borderlands cause of the Failsystem on Steam, so i try to avoid it if possible.

I don't see what the problem is. You're getting what you pay for. And I wasn't aware that Runic was distributing through Amazon...

The game will be release through Runic, you don't have to go through STeam. As far as it being unfair that Steam preorders get torchlight...different publishers have different offers, that's business. That's why I wait until the last possible minute to get preorders, and I certainly don't pay for games a year before they come out. Sorry, but that's nuts.

It should be worth noting that buying from Runic comes with limited installs. You have to contact Runic for more installs. I don't think this should deter most people from buying the game but some will have a problem with it.

I don't know what sort of restrictions PWE puts on purchases of TL2 through them.

I think you should complain to Amazon, not here... Different shop = different deal, i think this is pretty much common sense and the only one to blame here is you because of your poor choice and your stubbornness toward steam.
