theres the quest to talk with the orcal in delphi, i remmember to get there you need to walk a lot lot of time and it was boring.
tl isnt like that so is diablo so is dungeon seige 2.
I'm not even sure what you are talking about...Titan Quest had roughly the same number of quests as Diablo 2 (maybe even more). Further more, most were placed along the routes you would normally take to proceed in the game anyways (or just off the main road), so it's not like you had to walk for hours trying to find anything.

However, the thing that annoyed me was that that I never even got to the expansion act. For some reason the expansion made the normal end boss (Typhon) so much more difficult that I suddenly became unable to defeat him. I used to be able to defeat him with little problem, but once the expansion came out I'd play a character all way through from first level, reach Typhon, and then barely be able to scratch him while he repeatedly one-shotted me...
It kind of spoiled the game for me, knowing that I could play right to the end then have to stop before beating the last creature (and therefore not even see the extra expansion act that I'd paid for)!
That's actually kind of tragic. Anyways he is not that hard, if you have trouble just gain a few more levels and try again. Also, learn his patterns.
-He telegraphs the meteor strike so when you see it just run away.
-Life steal resists is important for this fight!
-When he has thorns don't attack him!
-Use hit and run tactics!
If all else fails just equip a bow or ranged weapon and kite him the entrance of the fight...if you walk a bit to the left he will disengage so you can exploit his AI to wear him down easily.
