Just registered to thank you for your efforts. The chest seems to facing the wrong direction, but that's a minor niggle if it saves me having to restart my destroyer. Thank you so much!

Where did you find the number for the shared stash? Reason I ask, do you have the number for the person stash? I'd like to try to spawn a few extra .. Anyone have the number for a personal stash?

I typed ANY by itself to see a list of items. You won't be able to scroll through the entire list (need to turn on console logging in your settings.txt file if you want to see it all from your Ogre.log file), but you should be able to scroll up enough to find the ID for stash - I actually accidentally spawned that one first before I realized it was the wrong one.

It's no problem at all! Glad to help, that's the reason why I did it. Would hate to see people who are just poking around out of curiosity or whatever be forced to start anew over something like that. And as for the others who may want to seriously cheat and then use this to undo it, it's not for me, but not exactly my issue since it's a single player game.

Literally LOLed at the chest facing the wrong direction thing though. I was like "Hmm, spent roughly 3 hours working on this - and now I need to find out how to change the direction the chest is facing too?", which just made me laugh. I think I'm done with this little experiment, the cosmetic appearance of the chest is such a minor issue anyway.

Thanks Zaggeh! You just saved my set items! I can now put everything in the Shared Stash and then delete my old character make a new character and pick all the items from the shared stash again. Problem solved.

Glad it was able to help. I read another one of your posts on the forum about your game crashing - was that before or after you tried this stuff?

That was before, so no need to worry. The crash is caused by the potion mod which matt provided. Doesn't seem to work with my version somehow.

Can you be a bit more specific about what isn't working for you?

Note that it does not get rid of the title "the Cheat" after your name, all it is for is restoring your access to the shared stash.

The d6 was on the 60-ish lines (LEFT display) instead of 40-ish.

Saved game, typed any 3178,1 and the chest disappeared after I got rid of console window.

Seems like your savefile layout is a bit different than mine, my characters name always start around line 60. I've tested on all three classes and it's always been on 40. If you'd upload your .svt file somewhere and post a link to it, I can take a look.

The chest is disappearing after you close the console window because you still have the cheater flag enabled. Did you make sure that you completely exited the game before you used HexEdit? When you saved it from HexEdit, you overwrote the one in your %appdata%\runic games\torchlight\save directory and not a backup that you made(if any), right? You didn't type any other console commands before you tried to spawn the chest that would have turned it back on, did you?

Thanks I got stuck between a table and some rocks and couldn't get myself loose so used console to ascend 1 lvl and got branded a cheater for a glitch, your fix worked great although if someone could find a way to remove the "the cheater" from my toons name I would love it.

Hex-edit your savefile and manually delete the title from your name at the top. I replaced all the bytes with "00" which equates to a blank, but I suppose you could actually delete the bytes concerned as well.

forget all that, i got it done, and i now have no "the cheat" title, for some reason when i replaced my .svt file with the old one it got rid of the status of cheater
