I call bullshit on this character. His gold gathered is extremely high for the amount of time played and mobs killed. My alchemist is level 22 and has 68k gold gathered with 4500 mobs killed, and has 2 more hours of playtime. This guy cheated and used the gold to enchant and gamble his way to insane gear.

Probably, I just got 300K at 38, doing every single quest, 10.6K mobs defeated, picked up and sold everything.

Its always sad with people and their cheats, i mean does people have no morale no shame? there is no way to level at this super speed, but again its because people are cheating, in Diablo 2 you could see just how much leveling slowed down in hardcore.

Dont know about people, but i play HC to challenge by self, not get get credit here.

Its tobad the Hardcore characters arent stored online at torchlight's server.

remember dont force your self forward, just go back and farm the mobs so you can stay a good healty 5-7+ or more levels above mobs thats how i kept my second Destroyer alive hehe 14ish hours just hit 28. yet some people can do 50-60-70 in 5hours the minds buggles.

But hey atleast us who doesnt cheat, we can be damn proud of our selves, and thats what really matter, that we beat the game and maybe just maybe reach level 100, no cheating, just hard work and ALOT of luck , i have a feel i will loose a few more characters, i really had a few very very close calls, they happen everytime i dont hold back and stay those x amount of levels above mobs.

Maybe someone can make a mod, where hardcore characters are stored online where people cant touch them and some cheating safe guards, we could even have this graveyard and alive HC characters on this page

Yah that is kinda obvious to any one who has played VH HC. Best just leave it be.

It is sad. All we can do is trust each other. I, for one, have the integrity to be honest, even when no one is looking. HARDCORE FOR LIFE! (or death w/e)

Beat Ordrak at 40 with my Spectral Decay/Devastate destroyer. Was very over-leveled but an enchant shrine wiped one of my weapons and I had to spend some time farming gold to replace it. Luckily I had a 896 dps heirloomed sword to pick up the slack in the interim.

My last destroyer got trapped and toasted in Ordrak's throne room. This time I stayed in the antechamber and destroyed him with devastate. Revenge!

Frankly, any wins using items or gold from the original release and not 1.12 patch+ only should not be discussed anymore. Enchanting was so broken in release, that only pure post-enchant-nerf items and chars should be posted these days.

The only pre 1.12 enchanted item in that run was the heirloom sword, which was heavily enchanted, but not out of line with the 1.12 items I found. (only ~10% higher dps than the offhand weapon, without the heirloom bonus it would be about the same).

I just beat him with my level 32 ranged destroyer using pistol/shield. Man, that was a rough/scary fight there for awhile!

Killed him after about 20min of kiting. lev33 vanquisher, using traps (flechette 10, shock 4, devouring 1, charm 10, armor 10, adv. spellcasting 7 or 8) and summon skeleton V (couldn't find blood skeletons or had the patience to shop for VI). Equipment is a mix of set und unique-items, only got ~70% missle deflection, a lot of armor, 2 items with minion-speed (helps a lot while kiting to let them catch the baddies).

It is an very (overly) defensive char and not the fastest killer, but good fun to play and a non-destroyer surviving in vhhc

nice hint for any ranged: web + frost as pet-spells worked fine for me, but will cost some healing pots on your pet.

Finally made it with my third destroyer. Went for a defensive build with 40%+ block and 50%+ damage reduction. No mods.

Hi all! For the first time, I finally made it in VHHC mode!

Edit: as my two previous destroyer both died due to a damn ice elemental, i tried to max out resists:
i had 3 different lvl of elem protection (4,5 and 6) with heal all 6 and def spells skill at 6 and frost shield 10!
Well ok, it's quite too much but hey, not three times in a row !
