Had the same problem; got to the second floor and an electric fence was in the way with no way of opening it. Thinking I missed a switch on the first floor, it had completely respawned. Suffering 20 deaths already at the hands of these elementals, i alt f4d. Nice layout though

Sorry did not see the error, there should be a crystal in front of that first gate on the second floor, that if you destroy it should open the gate.

I will look into it right away and see if I can find the problem.

Any luck on fixing the 2nd floor? I know you've had some snow days in Dallas and I'm sure you have nothing better to do than work on Torchlight. ;)

Nice idea for a mod, but it was bugged and uncompletable for me. I encountered one of the mod's chunks on the first floor of the Black Palace, approaching from the southeast. I was able to pass through the first electric gate, but when I reached the second, I flipped two levers, each guarded by several elementals. The graphic for the lightning barring the path vanished, but the path was still impossible to cross. My character could not move past, and enemies on the opposite side also refused to cross the area where the lightning had been.

I tried restarting the game, and found that the lightning graphic returned, but the gate was still impassable. The levers remained flipped and not further usable, as I had left them.

Uninstalling the mod allowed me to progress, as the bugged chunk was replaced with a standard one.

Here is my feedback:

I used a lvl 47 (can;t remeber what level I was when I entered) Destroyer on Hard difficulty. Only thing on him that is not vanilla is the Wind wall, which I never used as there were no archers inside.

I had extremely hard time to get to floor 2. Even with 889-1777 damage absorbed by my armor pieces and the fact that Frost shield absorbs 54 % of elemental and physical damage and the fact that my finger was stuck to Heal All VI I had to drink about 25 potions to make it to level 2. Of course despite the micromanagement I died 3 times the same embarrassing deaths from fire elementals. I had to pull and run back all the time. Plus I had to make sure my dog was transformed to something powerful from fishing all the time. I can absorb unbuffed about 500 of each elemental damage but only 200 of fire damage (not counting the frost shield of course, neither the elemental protection spell), so overaggroing too many fire elementals means certain death for my destroyer.

On level 2 I encountered the same problem as testers above mentioned. There is no way to pass the electric barrier. No crystal to break whatsoever.

In any case it was a true test for our skill, my fingers hurt right now ;) Music has something twisted which I like and the entire concept is really atmospherical. Waiting anxiously for a fix.
